Policing the Police

this post is about breaking laws, uh, i hope i am not breaking a law.

this happended on 28th September at around 2200hrs. i was at RTC ‘X’ roads, returning from FSF office. i was waiting for the signal to turn green. it still had about 70 seconds to go. i looked around and found that a Cyberabad Police Patrol vehicle stood right to my left.

i instantly spotted something wrong with the driver. his face was shouting out that he was about to do something wrong. i knew he wanted me to look away from him, and i pretended to do so.

the next moment he took off. but i was quick enough to take out my camera-phone and capture the moment. thats the image down there. while i was making sure i got the picture right, the person on a bike next to me said “paper mein dalte kya bhaiyya?” (will you publish that in a newspaper?). the one behind him said “radio mirchi mein bolo, phone karke” (call up ‘radio mirchi’ and tell them).

While this was happening i noticed that the vehicle had stopped a few feet away. as i expected one of the doors opened. but coincidentally, the signal turned green and i flew down the road to Secunderabad.
